Abstract Julio Chan Sanchez, a Chinese born in Peru, talks about his experiences growing up in a small town and being one of the few Chinese children in the neighborhood. He discusses how old Chinese traditions affected his perception of people. All through his childhood his Chinese father told him not to trust Peruvians.
